BIBLICAL SUCCESS

The last sermon series my Dad preached was from the book of Joshua.  I still remember those sermons he preached back in 1965.

God promised Joshua that he would have “good success” in everything that he did if he would faithfully perform one activity.

God also promises us that whatever we do will prosper if we are only faithful to this one activity.  Psalms 1:2-3. We will be wiser than all of our enemies, have more understanding than all our teachers, and understand more than the ancients, if we carry on this activity. Psalms 119:97-10.

This activity is meditation on God’s Word day and night. Joshua was made successful through meditating on Scripture. God commanded him, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou hall made thy way prosperous, and then thou shal have good success. Joshua 1:8,

You see the Scripture have in them the keys to living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

SUCCESS is doing what will glorify the Lord.  SUCCESS is fulfilling God’s plan for our lives.

The Christian person when he applies Scriptural principles into his daily live will have success that is pleasing to the Lord.
